Carnival success

Cllr Ann Holtom meeting another resident at the Castle Vale carnival supporting the campaign for a rail station on the Vale

Cllr Ann Holtom was pleased to have a stall at Vale Carnival on 14th August which provided her with an ideal opportunity to meet local people and discus local issues. Throughout the afternoon she was able to meet dozens of people and was able to offer advice and guidance on issues of local concern. Cllr Holtom also took up a number of individual issues which were brought to her attention.

Cllr Holtom also used the opportunity the Carnival provided to highlight the pressing need for a new station on the Vale. Cllr Holtom said she was very pleased that the overwhelming majority of people she spoke to at the Carnival supported the plans for a new station. Ann was able to add a number of names to her Vale Station supporter's list and promosed to keep them up to date with developments as they arise.

All in all the Carnival was fun day and Cllr Holtom said she certainly enjoyed being there and making herself available to local residents. The Carnival was very well organised by the events committee and Cllr Hotlom would like to record her appreciation for a job that was well done.
