Liberal Democrat leadership rivals Tim Farron and Norman Lamb are the star attraction at the party's local government conference at the Mercure Hotel in Manchester next Saturday.
On Saturday 20 June you have a chance to find out what the leadership contenders think about local government at the Liberal Democrat Local Government Conference jointly hosted by the Assocation of Liberal Democrat Councillors and the Local Government Association Dems.
As well as a full programme of training, policy discussions and a post-election review, the final part of the day is dedicated to a hustings between Tim Farron and Norman Lamb. Although open for questions
on any topic, this is a chance to challenge them on their views on local government and the things that really matter to us.
It's also a great opportunity, particularly if you are a new member, to attend your first ever national Lib Dem event and get some of the best training in the party.
Further details and how to book are here http://www.aldc.org/events/ Registration is only £35(ALDC Members)/£40 (non Members) includes lunch and refreshments.
The Local Government Dinner precedes the Conference on the night of Friday 19 June - the dinner will feature the awards ceremony for the Council Group of the Year Awards, with after dinner speaker Party President Baroness Sal Brinton. A highlight in the Lib Dem social calendar - so please do think about going along.
