St Patrick's Day Festival 2011 starts 11 March - a happy St Patrick's celebration from all at Sutton Coldfield and Erdington Lib Dems

Come 17 March, Lib Dem councillor Ann Holtom, local campaigner Trevor Holtom and Chairman of Sutton Coldfield and Erdington Liberal Democrats, Graham Lippiatt would like to wish everyone living in our area a very happy and memorable St Patrick's Day, especially of course to those residents who are Irish or of Irish family descent. According to the last census returns of 2001, the Irish made up the biggest minority group by household in the areas now comprising Tyburn Ward which is represented by Cllr Holtom.

As usual Birmingham City Council have organised a special festival in the city to celebrate St Patrick's Day. Come and enjoy the craic as Ireland's popular patron saint is celebrated in Birmingham - one of the largest celebrations in Europe. The festival which starts on 11 March and concludes on 17 March includes a parade, Irish dancing, music and traditional entertainment.

The parade will take place on Sunday 13 March from 12 noon and will process from Camp Hill to Digbeth.
