Leading local Liberal Democrats, Cllr Ann Holtom and Trevor Holtom, are urging Sutton New Hall voters to support Robert Hardware in Thursday's Birmingham City Council by-election. Cllr Holtom represents the Tyburn Ward which is located next door to New Hall and Trevor Holtom is the editor of the local FOCUS community newsletter.
Cllr Holtom said: "Robert has been an excellent candidate during the by-election. He has carried out a massive survey of local opinion right across the New Hall ward and there have been good responses from every area represented, Thimble End, Minworth, Walmley and Wylde Green. He has taken up issues ranging from unemployment, economic regeneration and improving the environment through to getting better representation of local people's views."
"Nor has Robert ignored the little things that people find so important in their area, like reporting the gate on the alleyway linking Walmley to New Hall Valley for repair or bringing attention to the horrible state of the dog mess bins on the field by Walmley Ash Road."
Trevor Holtom added: Robert is a genuine local candidate, born in Good Hope hospital and educated and resident in New Hall Ward his whole life. He is young and energetic, committed to making things better for all the residents of New Hall right across the ward. He will make an excellent local councillor. "
